Our Family Summer Bucket List

After the past couple of years we’ve had, now more than ever is the perfect time to create a “Summer Bucket List” with our little ones to make sure it is a summer to remember!  Our 10 year old loved helping us come up with ideas to add to the list, and I know it is going to be even more exciting checking them off!  I promise, even the most basic of activities will seem extra special when you get to check them off your list.

All I did was pull out some bright coloured sticky notes and a sharpie and we wrote down some fun things we would like to do this summer.  This can also double as a fun and authentic writing activity.  Depending on age, you can have your little one sound out the words, sound out the first letter, trace the words, or have them draw pictures of things they would like to do and then add labels.

Our bucket list is now on display ready to make this a summer of having FUN and making MEMORIES! The best part is that most of the ideas we came up with are budget friendly and close to home. Check out our list and keep reading below for my top 3 tips for creating your own Summer Bucket List.

I hope you and your family find inspiration here to create your own bucket list for summer fun.  My three top tips to you would be:

  • Get your kids involved!  They are sure to come up with some really fun ideas, and I’ll bet the things they get excited for are probably not as extravagant as you might think!
  • Keep things simple! Your bucket list doesn’t need to be full of elaborate and expensive plans, focus on activities that include the whole family, and involve spending quality time together.
  • Try something NEW! Most ideas are probably going to be familiar activities, but try to pick at least one or two things that you haven’t tried before!

Let me know below what you would add to your summer bucket list!! 🪣 ☀️ ⛱️

Be Inspired to Play Always,

XO Hannah
