Holiday Playdough: 3 Ways to Make your Playdough Festive!

Playdough is a go-to activity for us all year round! You can add different colours, scents, textures, loose parts, cookie cutters, you name it! Below I am sharing three ways to spruce up your homemade playdough to make it a little extra special this holiday season!

Christmas Tree

For this version, I added green food colouring, dry green tea leaves, and a drop of Spruce essential oil. This would be perfect paired with some sequins or beads and a tree shaped cookie cutter to invite children to create their own Christmas tree!

Peppermint Snowflake

Add a drop or two of peppermint essential oil and some glitter and your little one can create their own snowy sculptures indoors anytime! Leave out the food colouring for a natural white colour and pair it with some buttons and ribbon to invite your little ones to create their own snowman!

Hot Cocoa

Hot Chocolate is probably one of my favorite things during the holidays! Add a little bit of cocoa powder for natural colour and a warm inviting scent! It is the perfect combination for your little one to roll and squish some playdough cookies!

I hope these ideas help inspire your play at home this Holiday season! Share your Play on Instagram using the hashtag #myholidayplay

Be inspired to play always!
